What are our products made of?
Our areca plate products are made from the naturally fallen leaf of the areca palm tree. We use the “sheath” of the leaf that attaches to the tree to make our products.
Why are there dark streaks, dots, or splotches on our products?
Just like all leaves, every areca palm leaf is unique. The colour and texture depend upon the natural and environmental conditions.
Can the plates be reused?
Yes. Though our products are intended for single-use, they may be gently hand-washed and dried face down to be used again.
Are they compostable?
Areca plates are easily compostable even in your backyards. They can take up to 6 weeks to 8 weeks to degrade.
How should the products be stored?
The leftover products can be stored by wrapping them to avoid absorbance of moisture.
Can the product hold liquids?
Yes, the product can hold any food including liquids.
Can it be used in a microwave, oven, or fridge?
It’s absolutely safe to heat Ecosntials products in the microwave for up to 2 minutes or in an oven up to 350 degrees for 45 minutes. They can also be stored in the refrigerator or freezer.
Will the taste of the food be affected?
No. The products don’t react with your food hence the taste is kept intact without any alteration.
Should it be washed before use?
The products are meant to be readily used. If you wish they can be wiped before use
Are Ecosntials products non-toxic and devoid of chemicals?
All of our products are completely non-toxic, as only leaves and water are used during manufacturing.
